Lake Effect Dragons (LED) is a newly developed women’s Ithaca Dragon Boat Club team formed in 2013 out of the interest of women who want to take their dragon boat paddling to the next level by working together. The team was named Lake Effect to represent Ithaca’s Cayuga Lake, the regular practice location of IDBC, and the impressive and powerful natural phenomena that regularly occur there (lake effect snow and women’s paddling!)
